I play at least (8) rounds a week (Monday thru Saturday) and I find it to be over all the best course dollar for dollar in the San Diego county.

The have redid alot of tees, sandtraps, etc. The condition of the course is fabulous. I would easily play here weekly. May make it my home course. Great people in the shops and bar/food area. Very enjoyable to play here.

Course modifications have been extensive. Newly designed traps with nice white sand. (No more hard pan). Two to three cuts of grass around the Fairways and Bunkers make it more challenging. I have been a Member for close to 30 Years and watched this Course progress from Pitiful to Pristine for Our Area. Well worth the Price for a Round. The only drawback is Pace of Play sometimes. A Normal round for a Foursome is 31/2--4 Hours but because of the diversity of Players it can turn into a 5 hour round. Staff has been doing better at having slow players keep up with the group in front of Them lately. The Clubhouse mimics a normal Sports Bar environment with adequate refreshments and snacks. The waitresses are friendly and for the most part efficient

Nice layout, snack bar is open again, greens really need to be rolled and pace marshall needs to do his job and get in the faces of those players who can't keep up with the group in front.

I was once a member of the men's club when I lived closer to the club. I stayed a member for over eight years due to many friends being members. I have only played it about 3 times in the last 3 years because of living 45 miles away now. My SCGA Affiliate club plays there on occasion. I signed up to play our January tournament at Bonita, and upon arrival I noticed quite a few changes in and around the club house and restaurant. The cousre looked the best I've ever seen it, and once I realized the course routing changes it was a very smart and smoother way to play the cousre. Although the course was quite crowded our event was 20 minutes behind for the first tee time, either from over booking or the quality of players on the course. The round was 5 hours long but e finished long before dark. The sports bar has also improved greatly with fair prices, and plenty of TVs. I would recomend the cousre for any level of player, and a fair price for a fun layout.

They've switched around a number of holes since I last played there, which is OK. The food-stop shed was closed for first time in memory. Tees and fairways in good, green shape. Bonita's greens are still one of the slowest in the county.

This is a good cousre to hone your skills. Just difficult enough to make one think out their shots, but easy enough as not to totally frustrate you.

First I am a bit biased as I work at this course as a player's assistant but will try to be as honest as possible. This simple layout is a bit squeezed together and is fairly flat. However, the course is challenging due to the fairways being lined with eucalyptus trees and the greens being quite fast. The greens are the best of any course south of Interstate 8 and the bunkers are perfect. The course is only 6,000 yards long from the back tees and low scores can be had if you are hitting it straight and making putts. One major tip: keep your approach shots below the hole or 3-putts will abound. The fairways are 90% perfect, mowed low, and you get lots of roll. A fun course for both beginners and skilled players.
